Job summary

Commissionaires Victoria, the Islands & Yukon is hiring for an on-site security role at Cowichan Bay (WFP Mill Site). The position offers flexible shifts and a wage of CAD 20.50–21.75 per hour, with opportunities to serve airports, schools, government facilities, and other enterprises across Vancouver Island and the Yukon.

You will provide access control, customer service, and emergency response, while maintaining safety standards and reporting.

Qualifications

• Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
• Ability to remain alert while on duty.
• Ability to work in a range of weather conditions.
• Possess or be willing to obtain a valid BC security worker's license.
• Be comfortable using computers.
• Fluent in the English language - written, verbal and reading skills.
• Have a positive attitude with a professional demeanour.
• Have excellent attention to complete incident report writing.
• Have excellent problem-solving skills.
• Comfortable handling emergencies in a calm manner – training & support will be provided.
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in varying situations.
• Must have reliable transportation to get to and from job site.
