Job summary

Blacksmith Agency is an AI-first digital agency seeking a Search Engine Marketing Manager to own paid media for a growing client roster. You will drive targeting, budget calls, roadmap narratives, and client-facing explanations of results.

You will manage Google Ads, Meta, LinkedIn and Microsoft Ads, optimize ROAS/CPA, and craft 90‑day roadmaps with clear performance storytelling on client calls. Remote across Canada, the US and South Africa.

Qualifications

• 3+ years hands-on in Google Ads and Meta campaigns.
• Proven ability to move ROAS, CPA or pipeline metrics.
• Agency experience across multiple clients simultaneously.
• Clear spoken English with US clients on live calls.

Responsibilities

• Own paid media across Google Ads, Meta, LinkedIn and Microsoft Ads.
• Manage budget allocation, bidding, targeting and testing.
• Implement robust conversion tracking and attribution (GA4, Tag Manager, pixels).
• Develop 90‑day and quarterly client roadmaps with performance storytelling.

About The Role

Blacksmith Agency is an AI-first digital agency. As Search Engine Marketing Manager you own paid media for a book of B2B and growing-brand clients: the targeting, the budget calls, the roadmap and the narrative when the client asks why. You are the strategic voice at the table, and you make the calls.

What You Will Own

• Paid media across Google Ads, Meta, LinkedIn and Microsoft Ads for your accounts.
• Budget allocation, bidding, targeting and creative testing, and when to kill a campaign.
• Conversion tracking and attribution you can trust: GA4, tag manager and platform pixels.
• The 90 day and quarterly roadmap for each client, and the story behind the numbers on the call.
• Account growth: retention, upsell and the long-term relationship.

What You Bring

• 3+ years hands-on in Google Ads and Meta: you have built, run and optimized the campaigns yourself.
• A record of moving ROAS, CPA or pipeline numbers you can walk us through.
• Agency experience across several clients at once.
• Clear spoken English with US clients on live calls.
