High Cliff Partners Inc. is seeking an experienced SAP S/4HANA Project Manager for a Montreal-based client. This 1-year remote engagement requires 10+ years in SAP project management and a strong track record in S/4HANA upgrade projects in regulated environments, with SAP Activate expertise.

You will oversee the upgrade lifecycle, develop detailed plans, manage RAID logs, coordinate testing, ensure governance and regulatory compliance, and lead multi-vendor activities with executive reporting.

Responsabilités

• Oversee upgrade lifecycle from preparation to production cutover.

• Establish and maintain RAID logs (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies).
• Ensure compliance with SAP Activate and internal governance.
• Coordinate integrated testing (validation, regression, performance).
• Manage change control and business continuity post-upgrade.
• Act as liaison between IT, business process owners, SAP consultants and vendors.
• Provide regular status updates and executive reporting to leadership.
• Identify and mitigate project risks; drive user adoption post-go-live.

Our Montreal based client is seeking an experienced SAP S/4HANA Project Manager to join their project immediately and will run for 1 year with possibility of an extension. The ideal candidate should have 10+ years of experience in SAP Project Management, a proven track record in SAP S/4HANA upgrade projects (e.g., from 2020/2021 to 2023 or later), and experience in highly regulated environments (pharmaceutical, biotech, life sciences preferred), with strong knowledge of SAP Activate methodology, expertise in Supply Chain and Manufacturing workstreams, excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, and familiarity with multi-vendor coordination and global project governance. This will be a fully remote work setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all phases of the upgrade lifecycle: preparation, sandbox testing, development, QA, and production cutover.
• Develop and manage detailed project plans, timelines, and resource allocations aligned with global program milestones.
• Establish and maintain RAID logs (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies).
• Ensure compliance with SAP Activate methodology and internal governance frameworks.
• Coordinate integrated testing (validation, regression, performance).
• Manage change control processes and ensure business continuity during and post-upgrade.
• Act as the primary liaison between IT, business process owners, SAP consultants, BASIS teams, and external vendors.
• Provide regular status updates and executive reporting to senior leadership.
• Identify and mitigate project risks proactively.
• Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements (especially for industries like pharma or life sciences).
• Drive change management, training, and documentation readiness.
• Support user adoption and post-upgrade stabilization.

Certifications:

• PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent.
• SAP-specific certifications (optional but preferred).

Preferred:

• Experience with complex integrations and custom code remediation.
• Understanding of SAP system architecture and BASIS activities.
• Ability to lead large-scale testing and cutover activities.
