Job Title: Sales Manager – Independent Financial Advisors

Location:London/Kitchener-Waterloo/Hamilton

Our network of independent financial advisors plays a crucial role in delivering personalized financial advice to clients, and we are looking for a dynamic Sales Manager to lead and expand this network.

Position Overview:

As aSales Managerfor DFSIN, you will play a pivotal role in driving sales and recruiting success across our insurance and wealth management business lines. You will be responsible for attracting, hiring, training, developing, and coaching independent financial advisors who are critical to our business growth. The ideal candidate will be results-driven, coachable, and passionate about helping financial advisors succeed in a competitive marketplace.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Performance & Results:

  • Collaborate with leadership to establish and achieve ambitious sales goals across both insurance and wealth management lines.
  • Drive individual and team sales performance by motivating and coaching independent financial advisors to meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to optimize client acquisition and retention.

Recruitment & Team Development:

  • Attract, recruit, and hire top-performing independent financial advisors to join the DFSIN network.
  • Ensure the recruitment process is aligned with organizational goals and the company’s values.
  • Provide ongoing training and professional development to empower advisors to enhance their skills, product knowledge, and business acumen.

Coaching & Leadership:

  • Coach and mentor independent financial advisors to foster a culture of success and continuous improvement.
  • Regularly meet with advisors to provide guidance on best practices, overcome challenges, and track progress toward goals.
  • Work collaboratively with leadership to implement feedback and adjust strategies as needed for optimal results.

Performance Management:

  • Monitor advisor performance against KPIs and identify areas for growth and improvement.
  • Provide timely and constructive feedback to advisors to help them meet performance expectations.

Team Collaboration:

  • Work closely with leadership to ensure alignment between recruiting, sales, and business growth initiatives.
  • Share insights and best practices with the broader team to drive results and improve processes.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in sales management, ideally in the financial services industry (insurance, mutual funds, wealth management).
  • Strong track record of recruiting, training, and developing high-performing teams.
  • Ability to drive results through leadership, motivation, and coaching.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build lasting relationships.
  • High level of adaptability and coachability – willing to take feedback from leadership to improve personal and team performance.
  • Solid understanding of financial products, services, and industry trends.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work from the London, Kitchener and/or Hamilton offices.
