We’re Hiring: Sales Engineer

Role & Responsibilities

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven professional to coordinate and drive equipment and service sales activities within the assigned territory. This role offers an exciting opportunity to build strong customer relationships, expand market reach, and contribute to our organization's success. Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead and manage territory sales initiatives: Oversee equipment and service sales activities, ensuring optimal resource allocation and prioritization of strategic initiatives.
  • Implement localized sales strategies: Collaborate with teams to successfully execute equipment and service sales strategies tailored to local market demands.
  • Resolve complex challenges: Identify and address intricate issues related to start-ups and operational efficiency.
  • Drive growth and market expansion: Achieve sales growth targets by broadening market coverage and expanding customer engagement.
  • Meet order and profitability goals: Ensure order intake and margin targets are consistently achieved.
  • Coordinate customer field trials: Organize and manage field trials to demonstrate product capabilities and enhance customer confidence.
  • Strategically position products: Highlight product benefits to effectively compete within the local market landscape.
  • Manage key accounts: Serve as the primary point of contact for key accounts, ensuring customers are fully informed about the company's range of products and services.
  • Foster strong relationships: Build and maintain relationships with both customers and internal stakeholders to drive collaboration and success.
  • Prepare competitive quotations: Develop accurate and compelling quotations while ensuring a clear understanding of customer requirements.
  • Define pricing and margins: Assist in setting competitive pricing strategies while maintaining desired margin contributions
  • Support product development initiatives: Collaborate with customers and internal teams to advance product development projects within the territory.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent from four-year college or university.
  • 3 to 7 years of knowledge and experience in a technical sales position.
  • Understanding and experience in food processing, food processing equipment, and large capital equipment sales.
  • Deep practical know-how of state-of-the-art sales processes, organization methods, and tools (e.g., ordering, pricing, CRM)
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
  • Willingness and ability to travel frequently.
