Overview

Join to apply for the Sales Associate - Gretzky Estates role at Andrew Peller Limited. We are hiring a Sales Associate for our Wayne Gretzky Estate Winery and Distillery. This person will focus on creating memorable guest experiences and is responsible for performing all selling (including Wine Club memberships) and retailing functions within the retail boutique, during guest experiences, and when providing Guest Relations services.

Wayne Gretzky Estates Winery and Distillery is part of the APL family, located in Niagara-on-the-Lake wine country. The 23,000 sq ft facility is the first combined winery and distillery in Ontario, celebrating Canadian wine, whisky, and culture. We offer state-of-the-art distillery tours, award-winning wines, and top-tier cocktails & experiences.

Specific Accountabilities
  • Achieve / exceed Wine Club membership targets.
  • Maximize revenues per guest transaction through up-selling, including property wines, spirits, accessories, experiences, and memberships.
  • Facilitate guided tours and tastings for guests.
  • Assist with guest sales and reservations using POS and booking systems.
  • Follow inventory control procedures and participate in monthly inventory counts.
  • Maintain safety and cleanliness standards at all times.
Skills & Experience
  • Guest / customer service excellence.
  • Experience with POS systems and cash handling is an asset.
  • Smart Serve / Serving it Right certification is required.
  • Proactive support and teamwork skills.
  • First Aid certification is an asset.

Note: Employees under 19 may not handle or serve alcohol as per provincial regulations.

Working Environment
  • Physical effort includes working on retail and outdoor property areas, stocking, and supporting guest experiences.
  • Indoor temperature-controlled work and outdoor exposure in summer months.
  • Ability to balance providing excellent service while managing sales and inventory.
  • Work hours include evenings, weekends, and holidays, especially in peak seasons.

Reports to : Retail & Experience Manager. Maintains communication and teamwork across property departments. Focus on service excellence and promoting referrals.
