Job summary

Staples Canada in Whitehorse, Yukon is seeking a friendly Retail Associate to deliver outstanding customer service and drive sales across furniture, technology and supplies. You will engage customers, answer questions, process transactions, and help maintain store standards.

This role emphasizes teamwork, reliable communication, and a proactive approach to shelving, signages, and merchandising. Prior retail experience is preferred, with a focus on creating a welcoming, efficient shopping

Qualifications

• 3 months to 1 year of prior retail experience (preferred).

Job Description
Some of what you will do

Specifically, you will

• Engage with and sell to all our customers by offering tailored products and services using all tools and techniques available in our selling model to anticipate and meet future customer needs.
• Handle transactions using the Point of Sale (POS) system, including shipping transactions and marketing tools to convert customers.
• Calmly de-escalate and assist in complex customer situations to ensure their concerns are addressed effectively or refer to a manager/supervisor.
• Maintain a clean and safe store environment by performing tasks like dusting, front-facing products, and ensuring demo units are clean and functional.
