Job summary

Staples Canada in Cranbrook, Alberta, is seeking a friendly Retail Sales Associate to deliver outstanding customer service, drive sales in furniture, technology and supplies, and help maintain store standards.

You will handle POS transactions, assist customers with tailored recommendations, keep the store clean and safe, and collaborate with team members to meet goals. Prior retail experience is preferred, with flexible benefits and associate discounts.

Qualifications

• 3 months to 1 year of prior retail experience (preferred).
• Strong customer service and communication skills.

Specifically, you will

• Engage with and sell to all our customers by offering tailored products and services using all tools and techniques available in our selling model to anticipate and meet future customer needs.
• Handle transactions using the Point of Sale (POS) system, including shipping transactions and marketing tools to convert customers.
• Calmly de-escalate and assist in complex customer situations to ensure their concerns are addressed effectively or refer to a manager/supervisor.
• Maintain a clean and safe store environment by performing tasks like dusting, front-facing products, and ensuring demo units are clean and functional.
