Job summary

Staples Canada in Winkler, MB is seeking a customer‑focused Retail Associate to deliver exceptional service, help customers select products, and drive sales while maintaining store standards.

You will handle POS transactions, assist customers with questions, and keep the store organized, clean, and safe. The role emphasizes teamwork, communication, and delivering a positive shopping experience for all visitors.

Qualifications

• 3 months to 1 year of prior retail experience (preferred).
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Engage with and sell to all our customers by offering tailored products and services using all tools and techniques available in our selling model to anticipate and meet future customer needs.
• Handle transactions using the Point of Sale (POS) system, including shipping transactions and marketing tools to convert customers.
• Calmly de-escalate and assist in complex customer situations to ensure their concerns are addressed effectively or refer to a manager/supervisor.
• Maintain a clean and safe store environment by performing tasks like dusting, front‑facing products, and ensuring demo units are clean and functional.
