Job summary

Staples Canada in Ontario invites applications for a Retail Associate. You will deliver friendly customer service, help customers find furniture, technology and supplies, and contribute to a positive store atmosphere.

You will operate the POS system, process transactions, and support merchandising and safety standards. Previous retail experience is preferred, and you will work with a team to meet sales and service goals while upholding brand guidelines.

Qualifications

• 3 months to 1 year of prior retail experience (preferred).
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Engage with and sell to all our customers by offering tailored products and services.
• Handle transactions using the POS system, including shipping transactions and marketing tools to convert customers.
• Calmly de-escalate and assist in complex customer situations to ensure their concerns are addressed effectively or refer to a manager/supervisor.
• Maintain a clean and safe store environment by performing tasks like dusting, front‑facing products, and ensuring demo units are clean and functional.

Specifically, you will
