Job summary

Staples Canada in Bracebridge, Ontario, is seeking a customer-focused associate to deliver exceptional service and engage customers across furniture, technology and supplies. You will use our selling model to anticipate needs, handle POS transactions, and help ensure a clean, well-stocked store environment.

The role emphasizes teamwork, strong communication, and the ability to calmly resolve complex customer situations while supporting merchandising and safety standards.

Qualifications

• 3 months to 1 year of prior retail experience (preferred).

Job Description
Some of what you will do

Specifically, you will

• Engage with and sell to all our customers by offering tailored products and services using all tools and techniques available in our selling model to anticipate and meet future customer needs.
• Handle transactions using the Point of Sale (POS) system, including shipping transactions and marketing tools to convert customers.
• Calmly de-escalate and assist in complex customer situations to ensure their concerns are addressed effectively or refer to a manager/supervisor.
• Maintain a clean and safe store environment by performing tasks like dusting, front-facing products, and ensuring demo units are clean and functional.
