Job summary

Staples Canada is hiring a customer-focused retail associate to deliver outstanding service in a busy store in Canada. You will engage customers, drive sales across furniture, technology and supplies, and maintain store standards.

You will handle transactions at the POS, support merchandising, and work with the team to achieve store goals while upholding health and safety policies. Prior retail experience is preferred and associates receive discounts and benefits.

Some of what you will do

Specifically, you will

• Engage with and sell to all our customers by offering tailored products and services using all tools and techniques available in our selling model to anticipate and meet future customer needs.
• Handle transactions using the Point of Sale (POS) system, including shipping transactions and marketing tools to convert customers.
• Calmly de-escalate and assist in complex customer situations to ensure their concerns are addressed effectively or refer to a manager/supervisor.
• Maintain a clean and safe store environment by performing tasks like dusting, front-facing products, and ensuring demo units are clean and functional.
  

Some Of What You Need

• 3 months to 1 year of prior retail experience (preferred).
