Summary of the Position

Our client is looking for a Sales and Service Manager (SSM) to serve as a multi-branch manager with a focus on sales, performance leadership, and direction to provide quality member relationship services, maximize revenue, promote growth, and help members achieve and maintain financial health.

The ideal candidate will identify, develop, and expand the company’s brand within branch communities and initiate business development opportunities. The incumbent will be a member of the retail network management team, contributing to the company's growth and sustainability.

The Sales and Service Manager, as part of the leadership team, will report to the Director, Retail Sales and Services.

Key Areas of Focus
  • Sales and Service Leadership: Provide coaching, supervision, and leadership to direct reports.
  • Operational Leadership: Oversee daily branch operations through onsite management.
  • Community Relations and Business Development: Develop opportunities to enhance the credit union’s brand within communities.
  • Marketing Support: Coordinate marketing activities with the Director, Marketing and Community Engagement.
  • Knowledge and Travel: Stay informed about branch operations, community events, and conditions; willingness to travel between branches.
  • Leadership Values: Model organizational values and leadership competencies.
Requirements and Qualifications
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, operations management within the financial sector (or equivalent experience).
  • Active progression towards or completion of the ACUIC Designation.
Experience
  • 8 to 10 years in financial services or credit unions.
  • Minimum 5 years in sales management.
  • At least 1 year in branch management.
  • Strong knowledge of finance, accounting, and regulatory requirements.
Skills and Attributes
  • Proven leadership and team management skills, including mentoring and coaching.
  • Successful business development and sales achievement.
  • Results-driven with the ability to monitor and improve performance.
  • Exceptional service orientation and communication skills.
  • Adaptability and flexibility to changing environments.
  • Teamwork and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and banking software.
  • Knowledge of credit union legislation, products, and services; experience in a unionized environment is an asset.
