Job summary

Long & McQuade Limited in Halifax is seeking a customer-focused retail associate to help our customers through the selling and renting of musical instruments and gear. You will define each customer’s needs and match them with the right products and services, and demonstrate features to support informed choices.

You will respond to phone inquiries, follow up on orders, and contribute to a welcoming store environment through merchandising and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Must be a musician who plays at least one instrument.
• Must be able to work weekdays, weeknights and weekends.
• Positive attitude and steady composure.
• Proven strong work ethic and commitment.
• High levels of energy and enthusiasm.
• Ability to lift and carry large boxes.
• Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to recommend solutions in a confident and assertive manner.
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Previous experience in retail or sales is an asset.
