Job summary

Thomas Cavanagh Construction Limited is seeking a full-time Road Service Coordinator at our Ashton Facility. The day shift runs Monday to Friday from 6:00 am to 4:00 pm, reporting to the Fleet Repair Manager.

You will be the main contact for road service, coordinating breakdowns, timelines, and dispatch with the shop and fleet teams. The role requires strong communication, teamwork, and multitasking abilities, with mechanical aptitude and proficiency in Word/Excel/Adobe.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Act as main point of contact for road service and advise operators on action steps.
• Communicate breakdown issues and repair timelines with fleet dispatch and shop managers.
• Monitor real-time technician location and dispatch service vehicles accordingly.
• Prepare and submit equipment maintenance reports.
• Book preventative maintenance with internal or third-party shops as needed.

Overview:

We are currently looking for a full-timeRoad Service Coordinatorto work at our Ashton Facility. The day shift would be Monday to Friday from 6:00 am to 4:00 pm. This position would be reporting to our Fleet Repair Manager.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Act as main point of contact for road service, answer incoming service phone calls, advise the operator on the best course of action based on knowledge and workflow chart.
• Clearly and effectively communicate breakdown issues and repair timelines with fleet dispatch and shop managers via text, phone call or email.
• Monitor real time technician location and dispatch service vehicles based on location and workload.
• Prepare and submit equipment maintenance reports, etc.
• Monitor preventative maintenance and book into third party and internal shops as needed

Requirements:

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must have strong communication skills, and a positive attitude.
• Strong multitasking and time-management skills to handle multiple requests simultaneously.
• Ideal candidate will have mechanical aptitude/knowledge
• Proficient in Microsoft word, excel and Adobe.
• Fully supports and actively participates in the team safety program based on culture and innovation.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Wage Range:

The hourly range for this position in Ontario at the start of employment is expected to be between $25.00 and $30.00 per hour. However, the range offered is based on local job market factors and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations.
