Job summary

Thomas Cavanagh Construction Limited in Ontario is seeking a proactive IT Support Technician to provide hands-on and remote end-user support, maintain hardware and software across platforms, and contribute to IT projects. The successful candidate will solve problems quickly and work well both independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.

The role requires a college degree or equivalent, 3–5 years in IT support, strong time management, and a valid driver's license.

• Set up and maintain laptops/desktops in a Microsoft environment and a mixed environment of IOS and Android devices.
• Assist in the maintenance of network equipment.
• Maintain IT and asset documentation; participate in planning and execution of IT initiatives.

Overview

We are seeking a proactive and technically skilledIT Support Technicianto join our growing team. This role involves providing hands-on and remote support to end-users, maintaining hardware and software across various platforms, and contributing to the execution of IT projects. The ideal candidate is a strong problem solver with excellent time management skills, capable of working independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide technical support to Cavanagh users both on-site & remotely
• Set up and maintain Laptops/Desktops in a primarily Microsoft Environment & a mixed environment of IOS and Android Smartphones & Tablets
• Assist in the maintenance of Network Equipment
• Maintain IT & Asset DocumentationParticipate in the Planning and execution of new IT initiatives

Requirements:

• College degree or equivalent work experience
• 3-5 years of Experience working in an IT support role
• Strong problem solving, planning and time management skills
• Valid driver’s license and own form of transportation to get to and from work
• Ability to work as part of a team or independently

Wage Range:

The salary range for this position in Ontario at the start of employment is expected to be between $24.00 per hour and $29.00 per hour. However, the range offered is based on local job market factors and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations.
