Job summary

Resorts of the Canadian Rockies is hiring for a Road Crew member at Fernie Alpine Resort. Join us to help maintain mountain roads, parking, and utilities after snowfalls and support safe, accessible access to our alpine facilities.

The role emphasizes teamwork, reliability, and flexibility to work night shifts and weekends, with a valid driver’s license required. An asset is a Class 3 with air brake endorsement, plus a personal vehicle for commuting.

Qualifications

  • Confidence and efficiency in operating resort equipment (grader, loader, snowcat)
  • Ability to work alone or in a team and be reliable
  • Willingness to work shifts – nighttime, early mornings, and weekends
  • A valid driver’s license required
  • A Class 3 license with air brake endorsement is an asset but not required
  • A reliable personal vehicle

Responsibilities

  • Be responsible for snow removal and maintenance of FAR roads / parking / utilities after snow falls
  • Be responsible for maintaining and removing large snow banks from lots, plaza, and road sides to ensure proper drainage
  • Be responsible to ensure all basic vehicle checks and maintenance are being done
  • Be responsible for installation and maintenance of equipment chains
  • Report any equipment problems to the Vehicle Maintenance department
  • Know and adhere to the policies, rules and protocols outlined in the Resorts of the Canadian Rockies Employee Handbook
  • Know and follow all safe work procedures included in the Safety Management Program
  • Know and comply with all expectations of the Injury Management/Return-to-Work Programs
  • Perform other tasks and duties that are applicable

We are looking to fill the position of Road Crew at FernieAlpine Resort. When guests come to our hill they oftencomment on the beauty of the surrounding scenery, how breath taking themountains are, and most importantly, how well maintained the roadways areespecially in the middle of winter. The ideal candidate will be anexcellent communicator and team player. You Will:

You Have:

  • A reliable personal vehicle

Compensation and Benefits:
