Job summary

Resorts of the Canadian Rockies is seeking a Dishwasher/Kitchen Assistant for the Fernie Alpine Resort, to support Cirque Restaurant and Legends Mountain Eatery. The role reports to the manager on duty and requires energy, a positive attitude, and teamwork in a fast-paced kitchen.

As part of the Food & Beverage team, you will help with dishwashing, basic food prep, and maintain cleanliness. A seasonal position with perks including mountain access passes and staff discounts.

Qualifications

• WHMIS knowledge is an asset; we will train.
• Organizational skills and are a team player.
• Physically capable – Must be able to lift at least 40 pounds
• Previous experience is an asset; we will train.

Responsibilities

• Maintain dish machine – water levels, temperature, cleanliness, and chemicals.
• Provide all staff with clean dishes, cutlery, glassware, utensils, and cookware.
• Operation of the dish machine – set up, loading, and cleaning of the machine.
• Maintenance of dish area – shelves, floor, walls, counters, lights, containers.
• Garbage removal/recycling program.
• Assist with food preparation as necessary.

You Will:

• Ensure a safe, comfortable, and friendlyatmosphere for both guests and staff
• Maintain dish machine – water levels,temperature, cleanliness, and chemicals
• Provide all staff with clean dishes, cutlery,glassware, utensils, and cookware
• Operation of the dish machine – set up, loading,and cleaning of the machine
• Have a complete knowledge of all chemicals usedin the dish area
• Maintenance ofdish area – shelves, floor, walls, counters, lights, containers
• Garbage removal/recycling program
• Ensure all itemsbeing re-shelved are clean and sanitized
• Assist with foodpreparation as necessary **
• Ongoing cleanliness throughout kitchen and dishpit area
• Know and adhere to the policies, rules, andprotocols outlined in the Resorts of the Canadian Rockies Employee Handbook
• Know and follow all safe work proceduresincluded in the Safety Management Program
• Know and comply with all expectations of theInjury Management/Return-to-Work Programs
• Perform other tasks and duties that areapplicable

Compensation and Benefits:

• Competitive wage: $19.00/hour
