Job summary

Resorts of the Canadian Rockies is seeking a Lift Maintenance Helper for the Fernie Alpine Resort this summer. The role involves maintaining safe lift operations, participating in preventive maintenance, and driving in rugged mountain conditions while contributing to a friendly guest environment.

The position runs August 2026 to November 15th, 2026, with 4 x 10-hour shifts per week on a full-time seasonal basis. Perks include mountain access passes, lodging/lesson discounts, and staff events.

Qualifications

• Previous ski lifts operational experience an asset.
• Previous mechanical experience an asset.

Responsibilities

• Work to ensure a safe, comfortable and friendly atmosphere for both guests and staff.
• Ensure safe operation and maintenance of resort ski lift system.
• Participate in a well-structured preventive maintenance program.
• Safely operate various types of vehicles in rugged mountain environment.
• Know and adhere to the Resorts of the Canadian Rockies Employee Handbook policies.
• Know and follow all safe work procedures in the Safety Management Program.
• Support Injury Management/Return-to-Work Programs as required.
• Perform other tasks and duties as applicable.

We are looking to fill the position of LiftMaintenance Helper at Fernie Alpine Resort. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated,physically capable and have strong mechanical skills. The applicant must beable to work well in a team environment as well as complete assigned tasksunsupervised. This position requires physical outdoor work, the applicant mustbe competent/comfortable working at heights, and in all mountain weatherconditions. You Will

• Work to ensure a safe, comfortable and friendly atmosphere for both guests and staff
• Ensure safe operation and maintenance of resort ski lift system
• Participate in a well-structured preventive maintenance program
• Safely operate various types of vehicles in rugged mountain environment
• Know and adhere to the policies, rules and protocols outlined in the Resorts of the Canadian Rockies Employee Handbook
• Know and follow all safe work procedures included in the Safety Management Program
• Know and comply with all expectations of the Injury Management/Return-to-Work Programs
• To perform other tasks and duties that are applicable.

You Have

Offering 4 x10-hour shifts, full-time seasonal status. Running from August 2026 to November15th 2026.
