Job summary

Resorts of the Canadian Rockies is hiring a Winter Seasonal Front Desk Agent at Fernie Alpine Resort. You will be the first contact for guests, handling check-ins, reservations, and inquiries to ensure a smooth stay.

Join a team passionate about mountain culture and guest satisfaction, with training provided. The role includes selling packages, collaborating with housekeeping and maintenance, and upholding safety procedures in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Physically fit and able to perform demanding work.
• Comfortable working at a desk for long periods.
• Experience in hotels and hospitality is an asset; training provided.
• Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
• Strong commitment to safety and following procedures.

Responsibilities

• Complete hotel reservations, maintain bookings and enforce cancellation policies.
• Complete guest check-ins, modify reservations, and check-outs.
• Coordinate with maintenance and housekeeping to handle inquiries promptly.
• Sell lift tickets, ski/board repairs, lessons, dinners, spa appointments and other packages.
• Follow Resorts of the Canadian Rockies policies and procedures.
• Adhere to Safety Management Program procedures.
• Perform other reasonable tasks to ensure smooth operation.

Hotel Front Desk Agent - Winter (Seasonal)

Join our Hotel Operations team as a Front Desk Agent for Lizard CreekLodge & Slopeside Lodge. This is a front desk, guest facing position whereyou will ensure the first line of contact with our guests is running smoothly.If you enjoy being part of a team, ensuring our world class guests have thebest experience possible, and have a strong passion for mountain culture, thisis the role for you.

• completehotel reservations, maintain current bookings and enforce cancellation policies
• completeguest check-ins, room reservation modifications, and guest check-outs
• coordinatewith the maintenance and housekeeping team to ensure guest inquiries arehandled in timely fashion
• sell lifttickets, ski/board repair packages, snow lessons, dinner reservations, spaappointments, and any other hotel or ski packages as needed by the businessand/or guests
• know andadhere to the policies, rules, and protocols outlined in the Resorts of theCanadian Rockies Employee Handbook
• be trainedin, know and follow all safe work procedures included in the Safety ManagementProgram
• completeother fair and reasonable tasks as requested by management to ensure the smoothoperation of the hotels

Compensation and Benefits:

• Competitivewage: $20.00 p/hour as per collective agreement ($20.60 from Jan 1st 2027)
