Job summary

Roots is seeking a Team Lead to bridge the leadership team and sales associates, supporting store operations and motivating the team to exceed goals. Reporting directly to the Store Manager, the Team Lead provides coverage to the Store and Assistant Managers in their absence and models exceptional customer service to create a positive in-store experience.

You will supervise daily tasks, coach staff, manage POS and banking procedures, and participate in onboarding and training.

Qualifications

• 1+ years related experience in a retail apparel environment, luxury retail experience is a plus.
• Proven ability to successfully lead a sales team; viewed as a leader among peers.
• Experience with POS management, daily banking procedures, and submitting timely reports.
• Strong organization and problem solving skills.
• Passion for upholding an exceptional customer experience.
• Collaborate with others, yet be self-motivated.
• Available for varied weekly shifts, including weekends, closing and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates a customer obsessed selling culture and builds brand loyalty through product knowledge.
• Partners with store management to execute action plans and ensure effective store operations.
• Contributes ideas to leadership to improve productivity and store performance.
• Assists in onboarding and trainings for new associates.
• Coaches associates on customer service fundamentals and provides feedback.
• Assists in resolving customer service matters and oversees task delegation.
• Ensures adherence to company policies and performs opening/closing procedures and inventories.
