Job summary

Dollarama in Shawinigan, QC is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support daily operations, lead a team, and drive sales. You will act as Manager on Duty in the Store Manager’s absence and ensure excellent customer service.

The role requires 2+ years in retail with supervisory experience, strong leadership and communication skills, and open availability. You’ll contribute to merchandising, staffing, training, cash handling, and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of retail experience.
• At least two years in a supervisory or management role.
• Open availability (day, evening, weekend).
• Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assisting the Store Manager with operations and staff management.
• Helping with merchandising, stocking, and unpacking daily shipments.
• Providing exceptional customer service and resolving escalated issues.
• Training, coaching, and developing employees.
• Performing cash management, store opening and closing duties as needed.
• Assigning tasks to the team and ensuring store safety and cleanliness.
• Conducting regular performance evaluations and providing feedback.
• Ensuring adherence to company policies and safety standards.
• Maintaining visual merchandising standards.
• Responsible for hiring and performance management.
