Job summary

Kibbi Technologies Inc. in Nanaimo seeks an experienced operations professional to manage restaurant budgeting, inventory, staff schedules and daily operations.

You will analyze profitability, determine costs for food and supplies, and implement procedures to optimize service delivery and compliance with health standards. You will also contribute to marketing efforts, handle customer concerns, coordinate supplier negotiations, and help drive overall business performance in a permanent, full-time

Qualifications

  • Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year.
  • Experience: 5 years or more.

  • Analyze budget to boost and maintain the restaurant's profits.
  • Develop budget to determine cost of food, ingredients, alcohol, kitchen and cleaning supplies.
  • Set staff work schedules.
  • Determine type of services to be offered and implement operational procedures.
  • Balance cash and complete balance sheets, cash reports and related forms.
  • Organize and maintain inventory.
  • Ensure health and safety regulations are followed.
  • Negotiate arrangements with suppliers for food and other supplies.
  • Participate in marketing plans and implementation.
  • Address customers' complaints or concerns.
  • Plan and control budget and inventory.
  • Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate daily operations.

  • Participates in a government or community program or initiative that supports newcomers and/or refugees

  • Assists with immediate settlement needs of newcomers and/or refugees (for example: housing, transportation, storage, childcare, winter clothing, etc.)

  • Supports social and labour market integration of newcomers and/or refugees (for example: facilitating access to community resources, language training, skills training, etc.)

  • Recruits newcomers and/or refugees who were displaced by a conflict or a natural disaster (for example: Ukraine, Afghanistan, etc.)

  • Supports newcomers and/or refugees with foreign credential recognition


SUPPORT FOR YOUTHS


  • Participates in a government or community program or initiative that supports youth employment

  • Offers on-the-job training tailored to youth

  • Provides awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for youth


SUPPORT FOR INDIGENOUS PEOPLE


  • Participates in a government or community program or initiative that supports Indigenous people

  • Provides cultural competency training and/or awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers

  • Facilitates access to Elders who can offer support and guidance to Indigenous workers
