Job description

Qualifications
  • College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
Tasks
  • Analyze budgets to optimize and maintain restaurant profits
  • Develop budgets to determine costs of food, ingredients, alcohol, kitchen, and cleaning supplies
  • Evaluate daily operations
  • Adjust food preparation methods and menu prices based on the budget
  • Monitor staff performance
  • Plan and organize daily operations
  • Train staff
  • Balance cash, complete balance sheets, cash reports, and related forms
  • Conduct performance reviews
  • Cost products and services
  • Enforce provincial/territorial liquor legislation and regulations
  • Organize and maintain inventory
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Negotiate with suppliers for food and other supplies
  • Participate in marketing planning and implementation
  • Lead and instruct staff members
  • Address customer complaints and concerns
  • Provide excellent customer service
