Job summary

Finning Canada is seeking a Response Supervisor to lead a high-performing team of technicians. The role emphasizes safety, speed, and quality across repairs performed on Caterpillar equipment.

The successful candidate will mentor technicians and apprentices, drive adherence to NSC standards, and liaise between shop floor and customer-facing teams while supporting warranty and repair processes. This is a permanent, on-site position in Canada.

Qualifications

  • Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician certification is required.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience with Caterpillar equipment and engines.
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
  • Knowledge of NSC regulations, warranty processes, and contamination control.
  • Understanding of JHA principles and safety compliance.
  • Familiarity with collective agreements and performance management processes.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to interpret KPIs related to branch profitability.

Job Description

Day-to-Day Activities

  • Conduct performance conversations and provide feedback to team members.
  • Ensure accurate completion of timecards and service reports.
  • Participate in safety meetings and lead toolbox talks.
Requirements
