Job summary

Finning Canada in Swift Current is seeking a Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician to service CAT machines in shop or field settings, with opportunities to work on ultra-class equipment for major customers. You will diagnose, repair and maintain equipment, ensuring safety and reliability on every job.

Qualifications

• Interprovincial Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Certification
• Clean Drivers’ Abstract (Field roles)
• Strong experience in Electrical, Hydraulic and Emissions systems
• Engine and/or component rebuilding experience
• Transmission or Hydraulic testing knowledge
• Previous gas engine and power generation experience is an asset

Responsibilities

• Trouble shoot, repair and maintain CAT equipment in either a shop or field environment (possibility of remote locations)
• Respond to customer needs in a positive, supportive, and timely manner to ensure maximum value for work performed
• Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine extent of repair required
• Providing support with reference to on-site safety requirements
• Maintain Finning Customer Service Commitment
