Job summary

Royal York Property Management is seeking dependable Handyworkers to join our maintenance network and travel to residential rental properties in Ontario. You will perform a variety of maintenance, repair, inspection, and installation tasks using our mobile work app, working independently with flexible on-call hours.

Applicants should have at least 2 years of related experience, own vehicle and tools, and basic English.

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of paid handyman, property maintenance, construction, renovation, or related experience.
Own reliable vehicle for travel to properties.
Own tools and equipment for general maintenance work.
Smartphone with GPS, capable of using apps and submitting updates.
Basic English communication skills.
Reliable, punctual with GPS-confirmed appointments.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Complete general residential maintenance and repair work.
Perform property inspections and preventative maintenance.
Install and remove lockboxes.
Replace HVAC filters and routine maintenance tasks.
Repair doors, locks, faucets, toilets, light fixtures, blinds, shelving, hardware, smoke detectors, and other fixtures.
Assemble and install household items when required.
Take clear photos and complete digital inspection reports.
Report maintenance concerns and recommend repairs.
