Job summary

Royal York Property Management, inc. is seeking dependable Handyworkers to join our maintenance network. Travel to residential rental properties to perform a wide range of maintenance, repair, inspection, and installation tasks using a mobile work app.

This on-call role offers flexible scheduling, independent work, and opportunities to develop trade skills across Ontario. You will complete tasks, document work with photos, and report issues while ensuring high standards of quality and safety.

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of paid handyman, property maintenance, construction, renovation, or related experience.
Own reliable vehicle.
Own tools and equipment required for general maintenance work.
Own smartphone capable of GPS, work apps, taking photos, and submitting updates.
Basic English communication skills.

Responsibilities

Complete general residential maintenance and repair work.
Perform property inspections and preventative maintenance.
Install and remove lockboxes.
Replace HVAC filters and complete routine maintenance tasks.
Repair doors, locks, faucets, toilets, light fixtures, blinds, shelving, hardware, smoke detectors, and other common residential fixtures.
Assemble and install household items when required.
Take clear photos and complete digital inspection reports.
Report maintenance concerns and recommend additional repairs when necessary.
Use our mobile work app to receive work orders, navigate using GPS, upload photos, and update job statuses.
Travel between appointments using your own vehicle.
