Job summary

Royal York Property Management is seeking dependable handyworkers to service residential rental properties in Newmarket, Ontario. The role involves on-site maintenance, repairs, inspections, and installation tasks across multiple properties.

You will use our mobile work app, manage schedules, and travel between appointments in your own vehicle. The position offers competitive compensation based on experience and work performed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of paid handyman, property maintenance, construction, renovation, or related experience.
• Own reliable vehicle.
• Own tools and equipment required for general maintenance work.
• Own suitable smartphone with GPS, work apps, photos, and job updates.
• Basic English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Complete general residential maintenance and repair work.
• Perform property inspections and preventative maintenance.
• Install and remove lockboxes.
• Replace HVAC filters and routine maintenance tasks.
• Repair doors, locks, faucets, toilets, light fixtures, blinds, shelving, hardware, smoke detectors, etc.
• Assemble and install household items when required.
• Take photos and complete digital inspection reports.
• Report maintenance concerns and recommend repairs when necessary.
• Use mobile work app to receive work orders, navigate, upload photos, and update job statuses.
• Travel between appointments using your own vehicle.
