Job summary

Royal York Property Management is seeking dependable Handyworkers to join our maintenance network. You will travel to residential rental properties to perform a wide range of maintenance, repair, inspection, and installation tasks, using our mobile work app to manage work orders and report progress.

Minimum 2 years of paid handyman/maintenance experience is required. You must own a reliable vehicle, your own tools and equipment, and a suitable smartphone with GPS.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of paid handyman, property maintenance, construction, renovation, or related experience.
• Ability to complete common residential maintenance tasks independently.
• Must have own reliable vehicle.
• Must have own tools and equipment required for general maintenance work.
• Must have own suitable smartphone capable of using GPS, work apps, taking photos, and submitting job updates.
• Basic English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Complete general residential maintenance and repair work
• Perform property inspections and preventative maintenance
• Install and remove lockboxes
• Replace HVAC filters and complete routine maintenance tasks
• Repair doors, locks, faucets, toilets, light fixtures, blinds, shelving, hardware, smoke detectors, and other common residential fixtures
• Assemble and install household items when required
• Take clear photos and complete digital inspection reports
• Report maintenance concerns and recommend additional repairs when necessary
• Use our mobile work app to receive work orders, navigate using GPS, upload photos, and update job statuses
• Travel between appointments using your own vehicle
