Job summary

Optima Living is seeking a Recreation Manager to lead resident wellness, engagement and quality of life at the GNDV facility. You will develop diverse programs, supervise the recreation team, and foster an inclusive, safe environment aligned with person-centered care.

You will collaborate with care teams, families, and community partners to plan events, monitor program outcomes, and ensure regulatory compliance while promoting resident dignity and independence.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a recognized Therapeutic Recreation, Recreation & Leisure Studies, Gerontology, Health Sciences program.
• Demonstrates strong leadership and engagement skills for a residential care setting.
• Fluency in Punjabi, Hindi and Urdu will be an asset.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership, support, guidance and mentorship to the recreation team.
• Oversees and directs the recreation team to meet daily resident needs.
• Develops and evaluates programs across the seven wellness dimensions.
• Maintains resident profiles, assessments and attendance records; uses Welbi platform insights.
• Plans evening and weekend programs and activities.
• Operates company vehicle safely and in compliance with policies.
