Job summary

Killam Apartment REIT is seeking a Resident Manager for The Alexander, a 240-unit building in Halifax, NS. The role focuses on day-to-day site operations, tenant relations, maintenance coordination, and on-call duties to ensure a safe, clean, and well-presented property.

You will supervise on-site trades, respond to emergencies, coordinate snow removal, and collaborate with leasing and residents to deliver excellent service. Competitive compensation is offered based on experience.

Qualifications

• Experience in cleaning, basic maintenance, and customer service.
• Strong communication and time management skills.
• Experience in the Property Management industry.
• Ability to work well in a team environment with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• The day-to-day management of the property including cleaning, minor repair/maintenance, diagnosing and resolving problems, and showing units when necessary.
• First-line problem solving to manage tenant issues and build relations.
• Arranging, coordinating and supervising of onsite trades people.
• Responding to emergencies and on-call duty, enforcing the rules and regulations of the property.
• Snow removal/salting (building entrances) during winter months.
• Shared on call responsibilities.

We are currently seeking a focused, energetic Resident Manager for our location at The Alexander. This is a beautiful 240 unit building located downtown on the Halifax waterfront.

What you will do

• The day-to-day management of the property including cleaning, minor repair/maintenance, diagnosing and resolving problems, and showing units when necessary;
