Temporary Casual (32 weeks), approx. 10 hours per week. The Reactivation Care Centre-Church campus (RCC) is part of Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre and the Sunnybrook Research Institute, affiliated with the University of Toronto. The Sunnybrook RCC is dedicated to the care of patients requiring transitional care while awaiting disposition to an appropriate setting in the community. Job Description
The Sunnybrook RCC-Church campus currently has an opening for a Temporary Casual Research Assistant to support our team. The contract is for 32 weeks. The Research Assistant will work closely with Kimberley Lienhart, RN MN and Erin Munro, RN MN to support a single research initiative. This research involves an exploratory study to examine the impact of staff education centered on trauma-informed approaches to care on the care of older adults with cognitive impairment and responsive behaviour.
The Research Assistant (RA) will be highly involved in planning, implementation and coordination of all aspects of data collection. The RA may be involved in setting research goals and the selection and development of procedures. The RA performs mid-level data analysis including application of statistical analysis techniques using standard software, draws conclusions for review and inclusion into final research reports. The RA assists in interpretation of results and preparation of materials for presentation, publication and/or grants. The RA may be responsible for study recruitment and may perform study-related administrative tasks.
We are seeking a highly motivated individual with strengths in quantitative health research, and familiarity with qualitative and literature review methods. The ideal candidate will have experience with quantitative and survey-based data collection and analysis.
