Overview

The Municipal District of Bonnyville No. 87 invites applications for the position of seasonal Rental Shop Technician. Successful candidates will be responsible for outfitting guests with rental equipment, while providing any relevant information to promote guest safety.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests upon arriving at the rental shop.
• Ensure the accurate completion of rental forms.
• Determine the proper boot size, binding setting, and ski/snowboard length.
• Provide resort information to guests.
• Collect and inspect rental equipment for damage at the completion of each day.
• Perform basic repairs and troubleshooting on equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of rental equipment.
• Basic maintenance of ski and snowboard equipment.
• Perform other related duties within the scope of the position as required.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service skills, with previous experience in a customer service role will be considered an asset.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Knowledge of ski and snowboard waxing will be considered an asset.
• Mechanical aptitude and an understanding of hand tools.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Mature, energetic, dependable, punctual, reliable, and self-motivated.
• Have a friendly and approachable demeanor.
• Work as a part of a team or with minimal supervision.
• Knowledge of the ski and snowboard industry will be considered an asset.
• Ongoing commitment to safety.
• Obtain a Criminal Record Check.
• Will be required to work weeknights, weekends, and holidays.
• Class 5 driver’s license will be considered an asset.
