Job summary

Enbridge seeks an experienced Technical Manager, Renewable Interconnection & Electrical Design to lead utility-scale wind, solar, and storage projects from early development through key investment decisions. You will deliver practical, safe, reliable design solutions and provide cross-functional leadership.

Based in Canada or the United States, this hybrid role requires a PE, 8+ years of experience with HV interconnections, and strong communication with senior leaders and external partners to

Qualifications

• University degree in engineering with PE in Canada or US.
• 8+ years of progressive technical leadership experience.
• Direct experience with utility-scale electrical systems and renewable interconnections.
• Familiar with North American interconnection processes with ISOs/RTOs/utilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead interconnection activities with utilities, ISOs, and RTOS from studies through negotiations.
• Develop conceptual designs and cost estimates for HV interconnections, substations, collection systems, and transmission lines.
• Conduct or review power system studies (power flow, short-circuit, arc-flash, protection, grounding).
• Provide technical leadership across internal teams, consultants, contractors, and suppliers.
• Support procurement by drafting technical bid packages and evaluating vendor submissions.
• Deliver practical recommendations balancing safety, reliability, cost, and asset performance.
• Track milestones, identify risks, and pursue design/execution improvements.
