Renewable Energy Systems Ltd is seeking an Electrical Engineer III to design and review utility-scale PV/wind and battery storage systems. You will conduct load flow and short circuit analyses, specify transformers, and collaborate across engineering disciplines to ensure constructability and compliance.

The role requires PE certification, a strong background in power systems, and 5+ years in EPC environments. Travel up to 15% and a Canadian work location are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or 8 years equivalent experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE or P.Eng.) certification is required.
• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering is preferred.
• 5+ years of power generation industry with EPC experience is required.
• Ability to travel 5-15% and a valid driver's license.
• Expertise in power systems analysis, load flow, and short circuit modeling.
• Proficiency with software tools like DIgSILENT, SKM, ETAP, and MathCAD.

Responsibilities

• Develops and reviews design of AC (low/medium/high voltage) and DC systems for PV/wind projects.
• Performs load flow, short circuit, cable sizing, and transformer calculations.
• Prepares specifications and construction documents for procurement.
• Supports design reviews with project teams and clients to meet standards.
• Liaises with construction teams to communicate electrical installation details.
