Job summary

Enbridge Inc. is seeking an experienced Technical Manager, Renewable Interconnection & Electrical Design, to lead utility-scale wind, solar and storage interconnections. You will guide projects from early development through key investment decisions, coordinating across internal teams and external partners.

You will shape designs, perform system studies, and balance safety with cost and reliability, while advancing asset performance and project execution.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree required with P.Eng. registration in Canada or the US.
• 8+ years of progressive technical experience including leadership responsibilities.
• Direct experience with utility-scale electrical systems and renewable interconnections.
• Familiarity with North American interconnection processes and ISOs/TROs/utilities.
• Ability to translate complex technical info into clear recommendations for diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for wind, solar, and battery storage interconnections.
• Lead interconnection activities with utilities, ISOs, and TROs from studies to negotiations.
• Develop conceptual designs and cost estimates for high-voltage interconnections and substations.
• Conduct or review power system studies (power flow, short-circuit, arc-flash, protection).
• Support procurement of high-voltage equipment via technical bid packages and vendor reviews.
• Deliver practical recommendations balancing safety, reliability, and cost.
• Track milestones, identify risks, and drive design/execution improvements.
