Job summary

Enbridge Inc. is seeking a Technical Manager, Renewable Interconnection & Electrical Design to lead utility-scale wind, solar and storage interconnections from early development through key investment decisions.

You will provide technical leadership across internal teams and partners, develop high-level designs and studies, and support procurement to optimize equipment and design solutions. Based in Canada or the United States with a hybrid work model, you will travel 10–25% during peak periods

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and P.Eng. in Canada or US.
8+ years of progressive technical leadership experience in utility-scale electrical systems.
Experience with wind, solar, or battery storage interconnections.
Familiar with North American interconnection processes and ISO/RTOs.
Ability to communicate complex concepts to senior leaders.

Responsibilities

Lead interconnection activities with utilities and ISOs through negotiations.
Develop conceptual designs and cost estimates for high-voltage interconnections and substations.
Conduct or review power system studies including power flow, short-circuit, arc-flash, protection coordination, grounding.
Provide technical leadership across internal teams and project partners.
Support procurement of high-voltage equipment and evaluate vendor submissions.
Deliver technical recommendations balancing safety, reliability, cost, and lifecycle performance.
Track milestones and manage risks.
