Job summary

Otipemisiwak Métis Government is seeking a Renewable Energy Project Manager to lead renewable energy initiatives within the Environment and Climate Change Department. The role focuses on origination, design, funding, construction, operation and reporting of solar and energy management projects across Alberta, including community and utility-scale sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, engineering, renewable energy, business, project management or closely related field
• Minimum five years in renewable energy project leadership/implementation, including large-scale projects
• Credentials such as CEM, PMP or P.Eng. are assets and beneficial for growth

Responsibilities

• Lead development, funding, construction, operation and reporting of renewable energy initiatives
• Oversee 37 micro-generation solar sites and a 6 MW community solar plant
• Prepare reports, conduct stakeholder engagement, and manage budgets and grants
