Wagepoint, a remote-first payroll software company serving small businesses across Canada, is hiring a Talent Acquisition Specialist for a 6-month contract ending in April 2027. You will manage full-cycle recruitment for a portfolio of 4–6 roles, partnering with hiring managers to define skills, timelines, and compensation ranges while delivering a positive candidate experience.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of recruitment experience in-house for tech or SaaS.
• Degree or diploma in HR, Business Admin, Psychology, or related field.
• Proven ability to recruit across tech and non-technical roles.
• Strong sourcing using Boolean, LinkedIn Recruiter, referrals.
• Experience with ATS (Teamtailor/Greenhouse/Lever) and data-driven recruiting.
• Knowledge of Canadian employment standards and privacy (PIPEDA).
• Excellent written and verbal communication; candidate-centric.

Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle recruitment for a portfolio of 4–6 roles at a time, from intake through offer.
• Lead intake meetings with hiring managers to define must-have vs. nice-to-have skills and timelines.
• Proactively source active and passive candidates through multiple channels and build talent pools.
• Review applications and conduct recruiter screens to move qualified candidates forward quickly.
• Design and coordinate structured, competency-based interview processes and facilitate debriefs.
• Prepare and extend approved offers and guide candidates through negotiations.
• Deliver a timely, respectful candidate experience and close the loop with non-movers.
• Keep ATS updated and share pipeline updates with stakeholders.
• Ensure hiring practices meet Canadian standards and apply inclusive hiring.
• Gather feedback and help improve recruitment workflows and templates.
• Partner with People Ops, Marketing, and managers on employer branding and workforce planning.
