Job summary

Affirm is hiring a software engineer for a remote Canada role. You will contribute to front-end and API initiatives across web and mobile, collaborating with product, design, and analytics to ship features with robust, testable code.

The role requires 1.5+ years of software development, experience with React/Vue for web and React Native for mobile, and API design using Kotlin or Python. A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is acceptable.

Qualifications

• 1.5+ years of experience as a software engineer.
• Experience shipping web apps with React or Vue.
• Experience shipping mobile apps with React Native.
• Experience designing, developing and launching APIs at scale (Kotlin or Python).
• Ability to translate simple problems into multi-component solutions with well-tested, extensible code.
• Familiar with navigating large codebases and conducting peer review.

Responsibilities

• Break down large projects into tasks and deliver in phases; collaborate for timely delivery.
• Collaborate with product, design & analytics to balance trade-offs and constraints.
• Support operations and availability of artifacts; monitor metrics and participate in on-call.
• Contribute to team growth through interview participation and knowledge sharing.
