Job summary

The College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO) invites applications for a Quality Improvement (QI) Coach on independent contract for 2027. You bring active CPSO registration, strong QI and coaching background, and a track record of time-efficient task management to support CPSO’s QI Programs.

You will review PIPs remotely, coach registrants, and contribute to program improvement. This role is remote with about 8 hours per week and occasional virtual meetings, reporting to QI

Qualifications

  • Active CPSO registrant in good standing.
  • Minimum five years of patient-facing practice.
  • Solid knowledge of QI principles and coaching aims.
  • Completed CPSO QI program and willing to complete latest iteration within 3 months of hire.
  • Experience with QI program development, implementation and evaluation is an asset.
  • Bilingual in French and English is an asset.
  • Knowledge of CPSO policies.
  • Commitment to evidence-based practice.
  • Commitment to lifelong learning through CPD.
  • Ability to give and receive constructive feedback.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication; strong reporting skills.
  • Technological proficiency; EMR experience is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Self-directed with time-management and prioritization across priorities.
  • Masters in Quality Improvement is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Remotely review submitted Practice Improvement Plans (PIPs).
  • Conduct supportive QI coaching sessions and prepare brief reports.
  • Participate in program improvement activities as directed by QI leadership.
  • Attend virtual meetings and ad hoc training sessions as requested.
