Job summary

Jobgether is partnering with a client in Canada to hire a Technical Business Analyst specializing in Property and Casualty insurance. The role focuses on gathering requirements, translating them into functional specs, and supporting the full software development life cycle.

You will work with business and IT teams, vendors, and senior leaders to ensure successful delivery. Experience in underwriting processes and technical documentation is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in MIS/IT/Business or related field.
• Approximately 8–10 years of relevant experience.
• Strong knowledge of Property and Casualty insurance principles and underwriting processes.
• Experience gathering, documenting, and validating business requirements.
• Understanding SDLC and application development lifecycle.
• Familiarity with underwriting software and enterprise platforms.
• Ability to produce clear training materials and technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Lead elicitation, analysis, validation, and documentation of requirements for projects and system enhancements.
• Define system scope and objectives based on business needs and industry best practices.
• Evaluate solution options and recommend approaches with cost-benefit analyses.
• Facilitate communication between business and IT stakeholders to maintain alignment.
• Translate requirements into functional and technical design documents and UI specs.
• Support QA/UAT, testing, and deployment activities throughout the life cycle.
• Assist with production go-live, post-implementation reviews, and operational handover.
• Investigate production issues and coordinate defect resolution.
