Job summary

Acturis Canada is seeking a Technical Business Analyst to join a world‑class international team in Victoria, BC. You will gather client requirements, translate them into detailed specifications for developers, and help design top quality software solutions.

You will design and document capabilities, support the sales team with client proposals, and continuously monitor and improve the Acturis System while collaborating with brokers and insurers.

Qualifications

• Degree from a Computer Science, Math, Engineering, Physics or related technical degree.
• Experience providing excellent customer service and confidence in relationship building skills.
• Clear and concise written and oral communication.
• Continuous learner who is eager to take responsibility.
• Strong organizational skills; demonstrated experience with keeping to deadlines.
• Creative problem solver who follows logical and practical processes.
• Values teamwork and strives to collaborate well with others.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and comfortable with learning new technology quickly.

Responsibilities

• Designing and implementing top quality new software solutions.
• Solving challenging technical problems using a structured and logical approach.
• Managing the build of sometimes complex implementations, and ensuring this is done to specification.
• Investigation of errors on the Live system to work out the root cause and proposing solutions to fix this.
• Continuously monitoring and improving all aspects of the Acturis System.
• Supporting the sales team by contributing to client proposals including presenting and demonstrating technical solutions to clients.
