Maarut is seeking an experienced Business Analyst (Intermediate-Advanced) focused on Property & Casualty Insurance in Canada. The role involves upstream analysis: identifying needs, framing scope, quantifying costs and benefits, and recommending solutions in collaboration with the Product Owner and project manager.

Candidates should have 6+ years in business analysis within P&C, ideally in commercial lines or claims, plus Agile experience and familiarity with Guidewire.

Qualifications

MandateOverview:

• The teamsupports DGAG's ambition to become the 5th largest commercial P&C insurerin Canada by 2030, with an enhanced business offering distributed throughbrokers. The BA works upstream: identifying needs, framing scope, quantifyingcosts and benefits, then recommending a solution and influencingdecision-makers. The mandate requires P&C experience and at least one offour domains (commercial lines, claims, compliance and regulatory reporting,broker distribution), but the narrative presents three of these as expectedexpertise, which is submitted to the client. "Lead" applies to theanalysis, in collaboration with the PO and project manager, not to projectmanagement. Political acumen and the ability to reconcile multiple stakeholdersweigh in success.
  
• Targetcandidate: abusiness analyst with at least 6 years of experience, part of it demonstratedin P&C insurance, ideally in commercial lines or claims within a brokerdistribution model. They have defined scope and recommended solutions oncomplex projects in an Agile context, and Guidewire exposure puts them ahead.
