Job summary

Canon Canada is seeking a Network Technician (GTA) to support the Direct Sales Division Technical team with pre-sales and field IT assistance. The role includes installing Canon and third-party software, providing network support for customers, and delivering advanced troubleshooting in a remote setup.

The successful candidate will have post-secondary education in Electronics or CS, 5+ years in a similar role, MCSE or equivalent, and strong cross-platform knowledge (Windows, Mac OS, Linux/Unix).

Qualifications

• Post-Secondary education in Electronics or Computer Science.
• Minimum 5 years experience in a similar role.
• Valid MCSE certification or equivalent or role based Microsoft Expert Certification.
• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft technologies, Mac OS, Linux, and Unix to install and connect Canon solutions.
• Excellent equipment operation skills (Canon MFPs/SFPs or other manufacturers).
• Experience troubleshooting network and software issues.
• Process and project management skills to develop scopes of work, installation plans, and coordinate with multiple departments and customers.

Responsibilities

• Provide network support to customers.
• Install Canon and 3rd Party software solutions for customers and provide support.
• Provide third‑level support to Technicians in the field.
• Install and support software solutions in our showrooms.
• Support Solutions Consultants with pre‑sale functions to develop customer solutions and scope of work.
