Placements24 is seeking an experienced Remote Freight Forwarder to manage international and domestic movement of goods from a home-based office. You will book carriers, prepare customs documents, and track shipments to ensure timely delivery, coordinating with clients and service providers.

This role requires strong organization, knowledge of Incoterms, and the ability to navigate complex regulations. You will be the crucial link in the supply chain, ensuring compliant, cost-effective routing

Qualifications

Significant experience as a Freight Forwarder or in a related international logistics role.
In-depth knowledge of international shipping procedures, Incoterms, and customs regulations.
Proficiency with freight forwarding software and standard office applications.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and customer service skills.
Ability to manage multiple shipments and prioritize tasks effectively in a remote environment.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities.

Responsibilities

Arrange and coordinate the shipment of goods via air, sea, and land transport.
Prepare and process all necessary shipping documentation, including bills of lading, customs declarations, and invoices.
Communicate with clients, carriers, and customs brokers to manage shipment details and resolve issues.
Track shipments throughout their journey, providing timely updates to clients and stakeholders.
Negotiate rates with carriers and service providers to ensure competitive pricing.
Stay informed about international trade regulations, customs requirements, and shipping compliance.
