Placements24 is seeking a proactive Field Operations Technician to join a fully remote team. You will oversee remote equipment and systems, perform diagnostics, and guide on-site personnel from your home office to ensure asset reliability across locations.

The role requires strong analytical abilities, familiarity with mechanical/electrical/IT systems, and excellent communication skills for coordinating remote teams and ensuring timely resolutions.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in field operations, technical support, or a related operational role.
• Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, or IT systems relevant to assets.
• Proficiency in using remote monitoring and diagnostic tools.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Strong communication abilities, with the capacity to guide remote teams effectively.
• Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and manage tasks in a remote setting.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the performance and status of remote equipment and systems using specialized software platforms.
• Conduct remote diagnostics to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve operational issues and performance anomalies.
• Provide clear, concise instructions and support to on-site personnel for maintenance and repair tasks.
• Analyze operational data to identify trends, predict potential failures, and recommend preventative measures.
• Generate detailed reports on system performance, issues encountered, and resolutions implemented.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to develop and refine operational procedures.
