This job opening is limited to residents living within the following communities of the South Slave Region of NT: Hay River, Hay River Reserve, Enterprise, Fort Resolution, Fort Smith, Kakisa, Fort Providence, Fort Simpson, Fort Liard, Nahanni Butte, Trout Lake, and Wrigley.
The Cook provides food services for the center within departmental and territorial guidelines for operational standards in the Correctional Division. This position is indirectly responsible for residents at meal times, to assist in the implementation and instruction of those residents participating in an apprenticeship cook program. As part of the Corrections Division, the incumbent will ensure the ingoing provision and enforcement of policy and services within the Corrections Mission, Vision and Value statement.

Completion of a Red Seal Trades Certificate (3 year program) or 3 years general food service experience in a camp or institutional setting. First Aid/CPR and a valid class 4 driver¿s license.
