Job summary

Sienna Senior Living in Mississauga, Ontario is seeking a Registered Practical Nurse to provide high-quality nursing care in our Streetsville Community. You will work under the Director of Care to support residents and families, ensuring comfort, dignity and respect in daily living.

The role emphasizes teamwork, clear communication, and adherence to the resident plan of care, with opportunities to grow within a purpose-driven organization that values inclusion and learning.

Qualifications

• A Registered Practical Nurse in good standing with the Ontario College of Nurses.
• Experience in geriatrics, rehabilitation, or senior health is an asset.
• Good judgement and ability to foster a positive work environment.
• Legally eligible to work in Canada or have a valid work permit.
• Willingness to pass Vulnerable Sector Check / Criminal Record Check.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in accordance with policy, physician orders, the resident plan of care, and the scope of practice of an RPN/LPN.
• Deliver excellent nursing and personal care using sound nursing practice principles.
• Create a welcoming and supportive environment for residents through teamwork and communication.
• Oversee resident care, including regular communication with residents and families, and guide staff.
• Supervise Personal Support Workers/Unregulated team members assigned to the unit.
• Manage admissions, readmissions and status changes with ongoing resident assessment.

What You’ll Be Doing

You will be a welcomed member of the Sienna Senior Living team and impact in the following ways:

• Provide nursing care in accordance with established policy, physician’s orders, the resident plan of care, and within the scope of practice of an RPN/LPN.
• Utilizing sound nursing practice principles, ensure delivery of excellent nursing and personal care
• Creating a welcoming and supportive environment for the residents through teamwork and effective communication with staff
• Overseeing resident care, including regular communication with residents and their families, and providing guidance to staff
• Supervise the Personal Support Workers/Unregulated team members assigned to the unit
• Admission, readmission, and change in status, and provide ongoing assessment to the residents

Who You Are

• A Registered Practical Nurse in good standing the Ontario College of Nurses
• An asset is having experience in Geriatrics, Rehabilitation and/or senior health industry
• You have good judgement, the ability to identify risk and can foster a positive work environment
• You must be legally eligible to work in Canada or have a valid work permit
